Solving Fredholm second-kind integral equations with singular right-hand sides on non-smooth boundaries

A numerical scheme is presented for the solution of Fredholm second-kind boundary integral equations with right-hand sides that are singular at a finite set points. The boundaries themselves may be non-smooth. scheme, which builds on recursively compressed inverse preconditioning (RCIP), universal as it independent nature singularities. Strong right-hand-side singularities, such 1/|r|α α close to 1, can treated in full machine precision. Adaptive refinement used only recursive construction preconditioner, leading an optimal number discretization points and superior stability solve phase. performance illustrated via several examples, including application equation derived from linearized BGKW kinetic steady Couette flow.
